Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Review

Hey everyone! I bought Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer in the color 115 about a week ago and, once again, Maybelline did a good job on concealers. Will it replace my favorite concealer, Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer that I did a review on here? Probably not, but it's a great, inexpensive concealer. Maybelline also has a blush, bronzer, pressed powder, and liquid foundation in this line that you can buy from here (you have to click on the "Show More" button located under and between the bronzer and foundation to view their pressed powder) or almost any other drugstore that sells Maybelline. I like Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer because it has good coverage, comes in many colors, and blends nicely. I use Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer mainly on blemishes, and it covers well. I also love that this concealer comes in 18 shades, 6 for light skin, 6 for medium skin, and 6 for darker skin. I often have trouble finding a concealer that is a good shade for me, and appreciate that Maybelline has created a concealer in many different shades and undertones. Love it! Are you excited about Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer?

LORAC is on Hautelook!

Hey everyone! This is probably going to be a fairly short post, but I wanted to alert you that LORAC is on Hautelook.com along with TEI Spa, Alterna, KareCo Shears & Tools, and Crown Brush in the beauty section. If you aren't familiar with Hautelook, it's a website that partners with companies to bring customers up to 75% off of their retail price. Their are new companies on Hautelook every day, and membership is free. I believe that Hautelook has carried LORAC before, and the deal ends on Monday 25, 2013. Many of the items are more than half of, and there are many great deals. Items run out fairly quickly, so buy them fast, if you want something that's on hold, I would check again later to see if they've restocked it. I didn't include any items that were already sold out on the list, but by time that you see this post, more may be gone

Valentine's Day nails tutorial

Hey everybody! So, for Valentine's Day, I decided to do a glittery, girly design on my nails. So, pink and purple nail polish and glitter automatically came to mind. Here it is!

1. Paint a basecoat of purple. Let dry. I'm using Wet n Wild's Megalast Nail Polish in "On a Trip". Sorry about the pic, it's horrible quality and the real color is a little ligther than that.

2. Using a thin nail brush (or, if you're totally ninja, a normal brush) paint a pink heart on top of the purple basecoat.

3. Tap pink glitter onto the pink heart while it's still wet. The glitter that I'm using is by Martha Stewart in the color tourmaline, but you can use any glitter with small grains. Shake off the extra glitter onto a paper.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer Review

WARNING: If you're mad at yourself for not picking up Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer when you went to the drugstore and you're looking for a blog critisizing this product to make you feel better about not buying it (or is that just me who does things like that?) this is the wrong post for you. I absoloutely love this concealer!!! I bought Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer in the color "Fair" and it's got to be my favorite concealer that I've tried yet. First of all, it stays on for forever! Most of my concealers only stay for about two hours and then fade! They must be magicians or something, since they always disappear! If you're like me and tired of their tricky magic acts,  this concealer doesn't vanish! It lasts for a long time and is very blendable. I generally use Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer on blemishes, but it works well on dark circles to. This concealer provides medium to full coverage and works really well on pretty much everything. I like to apply Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer with E.L.F.'s Concealer Brush ($1) from their Essential Line since the original doe foot applicator isn't as precise and it also gets too much product on your skin. Love it! What's your favorite concealer?

Pros: Long-Lasting, Blendable, Good Coverage
Cons: Useless Aplicator

Grade: A+

Bag Balm Uses in Beauty

Hey everyone! This is a short post, but Bag Balm is good for a lot more then cows, so I thought I'd share some of the uses of this product. Honestly, when I read that Bag Balm is amazing for thin nails, I was a little bit sceptical. I wasn't quite sure if using something that farmers use on cow's was really going to help as much as the internet said it would, but I tried it.  As gross as this sounds, my nails are extremely brittle, and layers of my nail flake a lot. I like to apply a layer of bag balm to my nails when I'm not wearing polish, and it really helps strengthen them. Another use in beauty is for moisturizer. Applying Bag Balm to your skin really moisturizes it, and a lot of people love using bag balm for cracked and dry hands and feet. I bought mine at ACE I believe, but I was in a little farming town in Wisconsin at the time, so I'm not sure how easy it is to find in bigger cities. If you can't find it anywhere, you can always find it at Walgreens.com for $8.99. Love it! Are you going to try Bag Balm?
