My Dippin Dot Nails!!!Yeah, I know that my hands are in an akward position:) |
Hey everyone! This week I was feeling summery, so when I looked at all of my nail polishes, I wanted to use all of the bright, summery colors. While figuring out what to do, I stumbled upon a couple blogs , like Amber's , who did a dippin dot themed nail art that I loved and could include all of my neon colors in. Score! Also, I just bought some dotting tools from Amazon that I wanted to try, so I was also excited that I could use them instead of my usual dotting tool (the head of a pin stuck onto a pencil's eraser). Yipee! The nail polishes that I used were: Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Nail Polish in Snappy Sorbet, Milani's Neon Polish in PINK ROCKS, Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in Mellow Yellow.
, Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in Blue Me Away, Sally Hansen's Intsta-Dri Nail Polish in Clearly Quick, Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Nail Polish Base Coat, and Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in Mellow Yellow.

Tutorial:
- Paint a clear base coat of nail polish to lengthen the wear time and strengthen your nails. I'm using Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Base Coat. Let dry.
- Pour a small amount (about quarter sized) of each nail polish color on a painter's pallet if you can, and use that to make the nail polish more easily accessable for the dots.
- Pick up some paint with your dotting tool, and dot a circle onto your nail. Continue doing this, varying the dot colors, until your nail is covered. Let dry.
- Seal in your new gorgeous nails with a clear coat. I love Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail polish in Clearly Quick.
That's it! I love this nail look, and whenever I look at my nails, they make me hungry for Dippin Dots! Thanks for reading!
