LORAC is on Hautelook!

Hey everyone! This is probably going to be a fairly short post, but I wanted to alert you that LORAC is on Hautelook.com along with TEI Spa, Alterna, KareCo Shears & Tools, and Crown Brush in the beauty section. If you aren't familiar with Hautelook, it's a website that partners with companies to bring customers up to 75% off of their retail price. Their are new companies on Hautelook every day, and membership is free. I believe that Hautelook has carried LORAC before, and the deal ends on Monday 25, 2013. Many of the items are more than half of, and there are many great deals. Items run out fairly quickly, so buy them fast, if you want something that's on hold, I would check again later to see if they've restocked it. I didn't include any items that were already sold out on the list, but by time that you see this post, more may be gone

Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer Review

WARNING: If you're mad at yourself for not picking up Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer when you went to the drugstore and you're looking for a blog critisizing this product to make you feel better about not buying it (or is that just me who does things like that?) this is the wrong post for you. I absoloutely love this concealer!!! I bought Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer in the color "Fair" and it's got to be my favorite concealer that I've tried yet. First of all, it stays on for forever! Most of my concealers only stay for about two hours and then fade! They must be magicians or something, since they always disappear! If you're like me and tired of their tricky magic acts,  this concealer doesn't vanish! It lasts for a long time and is very blendable. I generally use Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer on blemishes, but it works well on dark circles to. This concealer provides medium to full coverage and works really well on pretty much everything. I like to apply Maybelline's Mineral Power Concealer with E.L.F.'s Concealer Brush ($1) from their Essential Line since the original doe foot applicator isn't as precise and it also gets too much product on your skin. Love it! What's your favorite concealer?

Pros: Long-Lasting, Blendable, Good Coverage
Cons: Useless Aplicator

Grade: A+

NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Natural: Review

Hey everyone! Recently, I've been loving NYX's Rouge Cream Blush in Natural. It's a gorgeous, natural looking color and great for everyday makeup. I like to set NYX's Cream Blush with E.L.F's powder blush from their studio line in Tickled Pink for long-lasting color. After setting it with a powder blush, the color stays on for about eight hours which is great! To apply, I take a cosmetics sponge, dab it in the cream blush, and then swipe it onto my cheeks. It's very pigmented, so it'll last a long time, as you only need to use a little on each cheek. That also means that it's fairly easy to achieve a more dramatic look with this blush, simply by dabing more color onto your cosmetics sponge. Another great thing about this, is that it's very affordable. It costs $6.75 on NYX's Website and $6.99 at Ulta, but you can also buy NYX's Rouge Cream Blush at Cherry Culture for $4.90. Love it! How do you feel about NYX's Rouge Cream Blushes?

Cheap Makeup Websites

E.L.F. Makeup http://www.eyeslipsface.com/
This is definatley my favorite makeup brand. Everything's soooo cheap and a lot of their products are good quality (Not EVERYTHING, but really, what can you expect of a brand which sells most of their products for $1-3?) They have three lines in which they sell products, Essential (their cheapest line with most products only costing $1), Studio (their second cheapest prices with most products in the 3-5 dollar range), and their Mineral line ( their most expensive line with mineral makeup, and most products in the 3-8 dollar range.) Another great thing about E.L.F is that they often have deals, such as buy one get one half off on their best sellers , which is by the way, going on right now.

Cherry Culture https://www.cherryculture.com/index.php
Cherry Culture is a website which sells discounted makeup. They sell Amuse, Ardell, Arissa, Beauty Blender, Bloom Cosmetics, Cherry Culture, China Glaze, Crazy Rumors, DUO, Facefront, Fresh Minerals, Girlactik Beauty, Japonesque, Jelly Pong Pong, Juice Beauty, Jordana, Kitten Vixen, L.A. Colors, L.A. Girl, L.A. Splash, Lucky Chick, Lulu Beauty, Luscious, Me! Bath, Mehron, Milani, Model in a Bottle, MOR Cosmetics, NYX, Palladio Beauty, Pinkie Swear, Pookie, Principessa, Sinful Colors, Styli-Style, Sugar Baby, TINte, Travalo, Vanity Mark, Violent Lips, and Wild and Crazy. I love Cherry Culture, and a lot of their products are at least two dollars of the retail price. However, their swatches are completely misleading, so you probably should check the brand's website to see what color you want, instead of Cherry Culture. Also, Cherry Culture takes a week to process usually, so you probably won't get your package for about two weeks if you choose normal shipping.

Nomorerack http://nomorerack.com/
Okay, honestly this one doesn't have a ton of makeup but it's a great website for really good deals on pretty much everything. They sell lots of brand name accesories and apparell for up to 90% of the original price. Everything ships seperately, for a two dollar shipping rate. I bought from here and the other two websites that I listed and am very satisfied with the products.

Websites That I'm Thinking Of Buying From:
Allcosmeticswholesale http://www.allcosmeticswholesale.com/

I'll try to update this list once I buy, or think about buying, makeup from websites that I haven't listed. Do you have any favorite cheap makeup websites? Let me know. That's it for now!  Bye!

E.L.F Review: Lip Balm SPF 15

Hey guys! Today I'm going to review E.L.F.'s Lip Balm with SPF 15 in Pink. It's a really nice moisturizing lip balm in a pretty soft pink color. The pigmentation is fairly light, so it's great for a natural look but not as a alternative to lipstick. I also bought this in Peach but was dissapointed since it was bright orange insead of the pinky-peach shown on the website. It's slightly minty smelling, which didn't bother me at all, in fact, I kind of liked the smell. The packaging is very pretty and convienient. I love this product!

My Top 3 Makeup Products

Boots No 7 High Lights Illuminating Lotion
I love this illuminator sooooo much! It works really well for me as in the winter, as my skin is dry and dull. However, I wouldn't suggest this for people with oily skin since the shine can be mistaken for oil. One of the things that I love about this is that it has a subtle shimmer that catches the light but doesn't look to glittery. One of my worries about this product before I bought this was that it would be reminiscent of little girl makeup parties. You know, where you get your nails all glittery and they shake glitter on your face and place a shiny star on you're cheek? It totally wasn't though, and looked fairly natural. It's also an exact dupe for Benefit's High Beam. At half the price ($13), and two times the size (1 FL Oz.), Boots No 7 High Lights Illuminating Lotion is a great deal! The color is gorgeous too! It's a beautiful pearl-like soft pink. Boots is a UK brand but their products can be bought at Target. I love this!

E.LF.  HD Blush in "Headliner"
This is a great blush for a natural, glowy look! I use this every day and absoloutley love it! However, at the beginning, I looked exactly like a clown. It was my first liquid blush and I was completely confused how to use it. A few makeup removing pads later, I had figured out how. Place a tiny drop on your hand, and by tiny, I really mean tiny. It's REALLY pigmented so I usually use the smallest amount that I can get, about the size of a head of a needle. Then put the dot on your cheek and use a sponge to blend it in. You can add more blush if you want the color to be more intense. This blush will last me FOREVER and it only costs 3 dollars! It comes in 5 colors, Headliner, Superstar, Diva, Encore, and Showstopper.

Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder in "Transluscent"
This product is great for people with oily skin. It really controls any excess oil on my face and stays matte. During the summer, my face can get really oily and this is great for that! It also comes in colored powders, Sandy, and Silky Beige. It lasts about 5 hours without re-applying. It also doesn't leave a white cast on my face. It's also really cheap in the $3-5 range. I love it!

DIY Lip and Cheek Tint with Beets

Hey everyone! Today, I'm going to show you how to make an inexpensive lip and cheek tint with beets! I know, amazing right? I have to admit, when I found out about this, I wasn't sure about how it would work. I mean, beets are just so.....ugly. I wasn't quite sure how it could transform into a useable lip and cheek tint. It worked though and only cost me about 1 dollar.

What You'll Need

  • 1 Beet
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon of Vegetable Glycerin (optional)
  • Strainer
  • Container
Recipe
  1. First, take your beet and peel it.
  2. Cut your beet into smaller pieces and place it in a blender or food proccessor. I used a a blender.
  3. Add the honey and vegetable glycerin to the beets. I couldn't find glycerin at Target  so I only used honey.
  4. Blend the mixture until it is fairly liquidy with some small chunks.
  5. Strain the tint so it's smooth
  6. Pour into a container!
That's it! I really like this lip and cheek tint as it gives a really natural glow if you use it correctly. If you don't, you may resemble a clown. For my lips, I applied it with the wand of an old lip gloss container. You also may have some left over from sample-ing at Sephora or any other makeup store. I added a light layer of the tint a few times until I got a nice, natural look. For the cheeks, you can apply the tint with your fingers or with a makeup sponge. I personally found apply this with my fingers easier. You might want to store the mixture in two containers and place one in the fridge for use now and one in the freezer for later. It only stays good for as long as the beets would, so keep that in mind when storing the lip/cheek tint. Thanks for reading! I hope you liked this easy DIY!

DIY Crayon Lip Balm

This lip balm recipe is insanely easy and quick to make with ingredients you can find at home. It's also really cheap with only two ingredients, crayons, and petroleum jelly (Vaseline). The crayons are completely non-toxic, making it safe to use them to color this lip balm. If fact, Crayola says that even if you eat 3,500 crayons, it will still contain less toxins than city drinking water.  So unless you start viewing crayons as a tasty snack , you should be perfectly fine.

Things You'll Need
  • Petroleum Jelly
  • Crayons (especially reds and pinks)
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Toothpick
  • Pencil Sharpener

Recipe
  1. Scoop a full spoonfull of Vaseline into a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Sharpen a crayon in the desired color using a pencil sharpener. This creates shavings which will make microwaving the mixture alot quicker, and clump-less. Pour the shavings of a half or whole crayon (the mixture with a half crayon is fairly sheer and with a whole crayon is more pigmented) into the bowl with the  Vaseline.
  3. Microwave the mixture for 5 minutes. It should no longer have any crayon shavings. If it does microwave in increments of 30 seconds until the chunks of crayon are gone.
  4. Mix with a toothpick until the mixture is no longer seperated.
  5. Pour in a container
  6. Place the mixture in your refrigerator and leave anytime from 10-30 minutes. By then you're mixture should be solidified , creating a lip balm texture
You're finished! I hope you enjoyed this fun DIY!
